Laguna Lake Development Authority
The Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) is entrusted with the attainment of the balanced growth and development of Laguna de Bay Region. To attain this, the LLDA evaluates projects within their jurisdiction and issues the necessary clearance to projects which will maintain the ecological balance of the region. The Authority shall cover economic zone enterprises putting up projects located in the following areas:
- Provinces of Rizal and Laguna
- Cities of San Pablo, Pasay, Caloocan, Quezon, Manila and Tagaytay
- Towns of Tanauan, Sto. Tomas and Malvar in Batangas Province
- Towns of Silang and Carmona in Cavite Province
- Town of Lucban in Quezon Province and
- Marikina, Pasig, Taguig, Muntinlupa and Pateros in Metro Manila
In addition, to enhance the water quality of the Laguna de Bay, incentives are given to lake users with reduced pollution and efficient mitigating measures under the Environmental User’s Fee system. Economic zone locator enterprises that generate industrial wastewater shall secure discharge permits from the Authority.
