Hazardous Waste

Hazardous Wastes in the Philippines, in general, are any used materials or substances that may present any unreasonable risk and/or injury to health and safety, and to the environment. Hazardous Wastes exhibit any of these characteristics: Toxicity; Reactivity; Ignitability; and Corrosivity. Hazardous Wastes are listed in Table 1 (revised) of the new Procedural Manual for Title III: "Hazardous Wastes Management" of DENR Administrative Order (DAO) 29 Series of 1992, released through DAO 36 Series of 2004.
