The Philippines has various laws to protect the environment. There are separate laws to govern the air and water, manage the wastes and even minimize the impacts of the industries to the environment.

Each law has its own requirements. One of which is a permit handled by a specific government agency. To streamline the processes of permit issuance, guidelines are developed by specific government agencies.
