Launched in 2001, the PEZA Environmental Performance (PEP) Award annually recognizes the efforts of PEZA locator and developer-operators companies on their sustained environmental compliance and innovative systems for continued improvement in environmental management.

The PEP Award aims to encourage these companies to institutionalize environmental management systems, to motivate compliance with environmental regulations, to have a sense of a corporate social responsibility, and to foster partnership between the government and the industry towards sustaining economic growth.
