PEP Award Now Re-Opens!

The PEZA Environmental Performance (PEP) Award is now officially open through PEZA Memorandum Circular 2010-003: “Selection of Awardees for the PEZA Environmental Performance (PEP) Award for 2010”.

Annually, the PEP Award wishes to:

• Recognize the efforts of PEZA locator and developer-operators companies on their sustained environmental compliance and innovative systems for continued improvement in environmental management;
• Encourage these companies to institutionalize environmental management systems, to motivate compliance with environmental regulations; and,
• Foster partnership between the government and the industry towards sustaining economic growth.

The PEP Awards is sub-divided into the following categories:

• Large-scale Business;
• Small and Medium Enterprises; and,
• Developer-Operator Companies.

The deadline of submission of the nomination form to the PEZA-Environmental Safety Group is on 19 February 2010.
