GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals) Basic Awareness Seminar
August 11, 2009

The Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK) (Chemical Industries Association of the Philippines) will be conducting a one-day Basic Awareness seminar on Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). This will be held on August 27, 2009 (Thursday) from 8 am to 5 pm at the Conference Room of the Cavite Economic Zone, Rosario, Cavite.

This seminar is in line with the implementation of the joint administrative order on the Adoption and Implementation of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), effective July 15, 2009. GHS provides the international framework by which countries can build programs for the sound management of chemicals. In addition, knowledge of such will also help in reducing the need for testing and evaluating of chemicals to determine their hazardous effects.

A training fee of P1,000.00 and P1,500.00 for SPIK members and non-SPIK members respectively, will be charged to cover the cost of venue, food, seminar materials and other logistics.

For more details about the seminar, please click here to download the SPIK invitation letter, program and registration form.
